At StudioBE, we design spaces where people truly want to BE.

Our research proves what we instinctively know—when environments honour human dignity and nurture wellbeing, everything transforms: creativity flourishes, connections deepen, and purpose comes alive.

We're not here to follow industry trends. We're here to challenge the assumption that productive spaces must sacrifice humanity. Through rigorous research and collaborative design, we create interiors that respond to the full spectrum of human needs—emotional, physical, social, and cultural.

For organisations ready to invest in their people's wellbeing, we offer something rare: evidence-based design that genuinely improves how people feel, connect, and thrive. Because when spaces serve human flourishing, everything else—productivity, retention, innovation—follows naturally.

We ask how spaces make people feel, not just how they function

BE Curious (Our Story)

StudioBE is founded on the belief that our built environment should uplift the human spirit, not diminish it.

What began as a break from conventional corporate design has grown into a practice that blends creativity, research, and empathy to deliver spaces that improve well-being and performance. From our beginnings some 20 years ago as Artillery Melbourne, to our evolution through partnerships with Group GSA and Hames Sharley, we remain united with the shared conviction that people-first design leads to stronger collaboration, improved wellness, greater creativity, and measurable business success.

After more than three years with Hames Sharley, our team is entering a new chapter as StudioBE – Continuing the creative, values-led partnership we’d built together. Collaboration and caring remain core values, with a fresh approach and energy for what’s next.

Most of our team have worked together for more than ten years with extensive experience and expertise in planning and delivering commercial projects across all states of Australia. We pride ourselves on building positive client and team relationships founded on trust, task ownership and delivering transformational spaces and places. We've stayed together because we recognise each other's strengths, support one another through challenges, and share an unwavering commitment to improving people's work lives whilst proving that doing good is also good business.
